More on Vintage Valentines!

I just love going through all these old Valentines! I have found some dayed 1939 and in the 40's. It makes you wonder about the people who exchanged these cards!

Normally on Saturday mornings I get up and head out to yard sales or auctions.....except for wintertime when I go through withdrawals! I really really miss them! Well yesterday morning I get up and it was zero degrees! YUCK!! Here in Virginia we are not used to this cold! They say it was our coldest day in over 35 years and let me say I did not like it! I hate to get my heating bill for this month! So last night on the news I hear it will warm up some today with a high around 40, but next several days the high drops again to the 20's!
But I get up this morning and it is snowing!! Luckily it didn't last too long, the ground barely got covered.

I decided to stay in out of the ocold and work on ebay yesterday and listed some more great items, biofreeze, carmex, vintage valentines and glassware! so stop by my ebay store and check them out!

Vintage Valentines

I love going to auctions and estate sales! This past year I got this large box of old cards and inside where a lot of old Valentine cards! Some were dated 1939 and 1943! There are some that have a military or war theme, cowboys and cowgirls and lots of animals! One of the neatest is a Wizard of Oz Valentine!

Also in this box were Christmas, Birthday and Symphony cards all for the same family.

BJ

I have a grandson, BJ that was born July 10, 2006 who I dearly love. I have to admit that I spoil that boy rotten! He loves to come to his Grandma's and spend the night!

This past fall I got him one of those motorised motorcycles and he has had a blast on it! Riding all around the house and on weekends I will let him go into a nearby parking lot that is deserted then.

He is definately all boy, rough and tumble! I have long hair and he loves to play with it, pulling it forward over my face! Sometimes he gets it all tangled.

My First Blog!

That's right! I am brand new to blogging and really don't know what I am doing yet! But I will learn!

I love going to sales and auctions and can't keep it all and in these times, we need every penny we get!
I'm a Mom of 3 grown children 2 girls, Samantha, married to Brian and pregnant with Colton Brian due April 1st,. Next comes Misty, married to Ben with 2 1/2 yr old BJ and 1 month old Madalyn! Finally my son TJ, who works at Mohawk and lives at home.
What do I do in my spare time? When I have any I work on ebay, spoil my grandkids, paint, draw, go to football, basketball, baseball games etc. TJ & were there last yr when Manny hit his 500th homerun! What a day!

I love to travel, next week some of us will be going to Pigeon Forge TN where we have rented a cabin for 4 days. Its the 3rd yr of renting cabins and we all love it! I don't think i would ever stay in a hotel there again! I can't wait to get in the hot tub!
